2026 Lexus NX
One Lexus poster, three posts: the still, a Reel that builds it, and the InDesign tutorial.
01 The poster
One design, three posts: the finished poster for detail, a Reel that builds it for reach, and the build itself, because showing the process is what earns trust.

02 The idea
I made this series to show two skills in one project: designing a poster from a blank page in InDesign, and animating it in After Effects. It is the first of an NX line, with more variants to follow.
My 2026 Ford Mustang GTD launch had already shown me what each format is for. The Reel reached 26 times more people than the carousel, while the carousel held the few who saw it.
So this time one design gets three posts: a still for detail, a Reel for reach, and the build itself, because showing the process is what earns trust.
Three posts a day apart, and never more than one Reel a day, so each gets its own moment in the feed.

03 The layout
The layout is built on hierarchy. A deep red band splits the page, the car crosses it, and the name and two numbers carry the message. Everything else stays quiet.
Ghosted front and rear views sit behind the car at 20% with a gradient feather, and a soft Multiply shadow grounds it. Montserrat sets the name and Bebas Neue the numbers.
| Step | Setting |
|---|---|
| 1. New document | 1080 × 1350 px, Instagram's 4:5 feed size |
| 2. A band splits the page | A full-height deep red rectangle |
| 3. The base | Drawn with the Pen tool, colour matched with the Eyedropper |
| 4. The car crosses the band | Side profile across both halves |
| 5. Ghost views | Front and rear views at 20%, gradient feather |
| 6. Soft shadow | Multiply 55%, feather 22 |
| 7. Emblem and wordmark | The Lexus emblem over LEXUS |
| 8. NX 350h | Montserrat Medium, tracking 520 |
| 9. Specs | Montserrat labels, Bebas Neue numbers: 240 HP, 200 KM/H |
| 10. Body copy | 12.5 / 21, centred |
04 The motion
In After Effects every element arrives in order of importance: the red band and the emblem, the LEXUS wordmark, the car gliding in and stopping, then the specs counting up to 240 HP and 200 km/h.
Silent Reels had been a miss for me, so this one has sound: a royalty-free music track and a recorded car approach, timed so the brakes land as the car stops.
It opens on the finished poster with two words, Same poster, so anyone who saw the still knows it straight away.
05 Captions and timing
Each caption opens with its hook: the numbers for the still, the idea for the Reel, a step-by-step promise for the tutorial.
Asking people to comment a keyword got no replies on my earlier posts, so each one ends on an open question or a reason to save instead. Five hashtags at most, and a Facebook caption written for Facebook.
The still and the Reveal went out in the early evening, when most of my posts had gone out. The tutorial went out in the morning, to start testing a time my account had never tried.
